Procedure

Add water to the main beaker. Begin homo-mixing. Heat to 70-75°C. Sprinkle carbomer into water. Mix until hydrated. Maintain temperature and add preservative. In side beaker, add ingredients of B. Heat to 70-75°C with mixing. Add B to A with homogenization. Premix C in side beaker and add to main beaker at 60-65°C. Add D to main beaker with mixing at 50-55°C. Add E to main beaker with mixing at 40-45°C. Switch to sweep blade and cool to room temperature.

Properties

Appearance—smooth, white cream; pH—5.00-5.50; Viscosity—Brookfield RVT/Spindle TC/5 rpm/1 minute/25°C: 80,000-90,000 cps.
